About Calgary

Calgary is located in southern Alberta, just east of the stunning Canadian Rockies and along the Bow and Elbow rivers. While it isn’t the provincial capital, Calgary was the largest city in Alberta as of the 2016 census, with a population of 1,239,220. It’s also the third-largest municipality in Canada.

Fun Fact: Calgary was named after a hamlet on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. This city is a powerhouse in the business world, home to many head offices for major oil and gas companies.
