FireFighters Without Borders

Two Small Men with Big Hearts Moving is honored to support Firefighters Without Borders, an initiative that plays a critical role in providing essential firefighting equipment to countries in need. Each year, we dedicate a 5-ton moving truck that is loaded with gear in Winnipeg and makes the over 2,300 km journey to Vancouver. From there, the equipment is shipped internationally to countries like Ukraine, Philippines, Haiti, and Chile. This operation, including a round trip that takes approximately 53 hours, is entirely supported by our company, with all fuel charges and time donated.

This collaboration is particularly impactful because Canada has stringent regulations regarding the lifespan of firefighting gear, often requiring its retirement long before it has ceased to be functional. By donating this gear, we ensure that it continues to serve in lifesaving operations overseas, where the regulations differ, thus extending the life of the gear and keeping it out of landfills.

The equipment donated through Firefighters Without Borders is not only lifesaving but also a testament to global solidarity and environmental responsibility. The initiative ensures that high-quality, functional firefighting gear benefits countries with fewer resources, enhancing their capacity to manage emergencies and save lives.
