When customers call Two Small Men with Big Hearts moving company, there is a good chance the voice on the other end belongs to Kristina L. As a Move Coordinator, Kristina has been helping families, seniors, and businesses across Canada organize relocations since May 2023. Her approach combines practical experience with patience and understanding.

“I start early and finish late, booking moves, quoting, and helping people through the whole process,” Kristina explains. “A lot of customers have never used professional movers before, so it is about guiding them through expectations and making it as stress-free as possible.”

Kristina works out of Calgary, but her responsibilities cover the entire country. Every day she works with clients in different regions, making sure their moves are organized and that they feel supported. “I am very hands-on with customers from that first phone call all the way through to after their move,” she says.

Before joining Two Small Men, Kristina launched and managed two businesses: one in towing and another in interior design. Both experiences continue to shape the way she works today.

From the towing company, she learned about fleets, trucks, insurance costs, and the challenges of keeping vehicles in service. “I know all about the stress of maintaining trucks, insurance, and planning routes,” she says. “That knowledge helps me understand what our movers in Calgary and across the country are dealing with.”

Her interior design background gave her an understanding of customer needs and the details that matter during a stressful time. “It is not just about moving boxes,” she says. “It is about people, their budgets, and their timelines. Design taught me how to listen closely and focus on creating the right experience.”

Her design experience often comes into play when customers are moving out for renovations or remodeling. She understands the stress of temporarily losing access to a home and the importance of protecting belongings.

“For renovations, I often recommend using movers to store belongings in a garage, storage unit, or container,” she says. “We recently handled a large job in Edmonton, moving 12 to 15 units out of an apartment complex for water damage repairs, then moving everyone back after the renovations. That is where my design background and moving knowledge meet, because I can understand both what the movers need and what the clients are going through.”

On smaller projects, she applies the same careful planning. “Sometimes it is as simple as moving a dishwasher and fridge into the living room so new flooring can go down. Other times it is an entire building full of residents. Either way, it is about solving problems and reducing stress for the client.”

Kristina approaches her work with empathy and patience, especially with seniors who often need extra guidance. “Many are not comfortable with today’s technology, so I take the time to walk them through everything step by step,” she says. “I try to be patient and make sure they understand what will happen.”

Her ability to adapt and remain available has also been tested by sudden changes in project timelines. She recalls the recent Edmonton job as an example. “That project was supposed to start in October, but we had to move residents out immediately because of water damage. We stepped in quickly and made it happen.”

Kristina has contributed to community causes in the past, including donations of masks and food to hospitals and frontline workers during the pandemic. She also values the community involvement she sees at Two Small Men.

“I would like to see more involvement with women’s shelters and domestic violence moves,” she says. “Those situations require fast action and understanding. I also appreciate the work we do with Mamas for Mamas.”

For Kristina, working at Two Small Men is not just about logistics. Her background in fleets gives her respect for the work movers do, her design experience helps her anticipate client needs, and her own health challenges have given her perspective on the importance of patience and flexibility.

“I want every customer to feel supported and understood, from the very first call to the final delivery,” she says.

Kristina may prefer to keep a low profile, but her steady approach and focus on customer needs are clear in every move she coordinates. For her, success comes from listening, adapting, and making sure customers feel comfortable throughout the process.

As one of the voices behind Two Small Men with Big Hearts’ professional moving services in Calgary, Kristina is part of the reason customers return when they need trusted movers again. By combining knowledge, compassion, and organization, she helps ensure that each move—big or small—is handled with care.
