Branch Manager Brayden Underhill shows how professional movers in Kelowna provide trusted moving services with heart.

When Brayden Underhill started with Two Small Men with Big Hearts in February 2022, he did not expect it to become a career. “I started really as a swamper, just a helper,” he says. “But I kind of showed interest in building up and growing in the industry since I had prior knowledge of trucking. I really took interest in the long haul aspect of the job.”
That early drive paid off. Brayden quickly developed strong relationships with customers. “The customers and myself always had good relations to the point where they would kind of chat with me after the fact and just check in,” he recalls. Management noticed not only his work ethic but also his ability to connect with people. After training with senior leaders, he was given the opportunity to relocate and help grow the Kelowna branch.

Brayden’s background was not originally in moving. He grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and worked in the bar industry. “I used to deliver the alcohol to the bars during the day, and then later at night I would either go and bartend or manage the bars,” he explains. When COVID hit, the industry collapsed, pushing him to look for new opportunities. A move to Calgary introduced him to Two Small Men, where he began working as a swamper before earning a promotion out west.
He credits his years in hospitality for shaping how he approaches customer service today. “Once you are moving someone, it is obviously a stressful day for them. But not only that, you are inside their home,” he says. “A lot of times, people have been in there for 20 or 30 years. You want to make yourself known and someone they can trust within the first five or ten minutes.” That trust is part of what separates professional movers in Kelowna from casual labor.
Now, as Branch Manager in Kelowna, Brayden’s mornings start early. “I arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 at the office and kind of start the bills for the day over a nice coffee,” he says with a laugh. “When the crews arrive between 8 and 8:15, they are ready to go. From there, my day is maintaining communication with the crews, calling customers, planning and making sure everything is on track. You do not want customers to feel like once they book and put down a deposit, there is no communication. That contact all the way through is huge.”
This focus on communication is central to how Brayden and his team deliver moving services in Kelowna. Whether customers are booking residential movers, long-distance movers, or short local moves, his goal is to ensure they feel supported from the first phone call until the final box is unloaded.
Community involvement has been one of the most rewarding parts of his career so far. While in Calgary, he helped organize logistics for YYC Cycle’s rooftop charity event raising awareness for suicide prevention. “That was super rewarding,” he says. “Helping organize it and even joining the guys on the trucks to make sure everything was on time, that really stood out for me.”
Another highlight came when he drove equipment from the Winnipeg Fire Department to the Vancouver Fire Department for Firefighters Without Borders. “That was probably one of the coolest, most rewarding experiences of my life,” he says. “Everyone from the firefighters to the organizers was fantastic.”
Now in Kelowna, Brayden continues to carry that sense of purpose through local partnerships. “I really like Mamas for Mamas,” he explains. “We do a lot of donated moves for them. It is mothers with kids who need some support, whether that is moving, packing, or even just labor if they have a U-Haul. We provide that at no cost. It is amazing to see all the stress come off their backs, because they already have so much on their shoulders being single mothers.”
Brayden is quick to point out that the work is not just about logistics. For him, it is about the people he works with and the community he serves. “This job has created opportunities for myself that I never thought possible, even after university,” he says. “I am just really happy to be part of something that makes me feel great every day and is rewarding.”
For customers searching for trusted moving companies in Kelowna, Brayden and his team at Two Small Men offer more than just relocation services. They bring empathy, communication, and a focus on community that makes the process smoother and less stressful. Whether it is residential moving, long-distance moving, or affordable movers in Kelowna, the branch is committed to being a reliable choice. “At the end of the day,” Brayden says, “I just want people to feel like they are in good hands.”
His journey from Halifax to Kelowna shows how adaptable skills, a commitment to service, and a willingness to learn can lead to growth in unexpected ways. For Brayden, moving is more than transporting belongings. It is about supporting people during some of life’s biggest changes, and making sure they feel cared for every step of the way. That is what defines professional movers in Kelowna and why Brayden is proud to lead his team at Two Small Men.
