Lourik (or Laurik), Kevin, Corbin, Brad and Mark came and rocked the move out of the park. Took great care of the items, as well as the floors/walls. We had some challenging items to move (eg. Elliptical) and they did a fantastic job with all of it. Based on the estimation of the move (time vs inventory), they came in well under as they were fantastically efficient. 10/10 would use again.

Dylan, Victor and Akarshan made a day that was extremely stressful a lot less so. They did their work with smiles and laughter and excellent manners. I have asked for them again in my next moving needs. This was absolutely the best money I have spent.

Common questions about piano movers in edmonton in Edmonton
Pretty much always, yeah. Even a move across one room nudges a piano out of tune — the strings and soundboard react to the jostling, and to the change in temperature and humidity at the new place. Best to leave it two or three weeks to settle in before you call a tuner, so it's had time to adjust. In Calgary that settling matters even more, with how fast the weather can swing. Let us know if you want a local tuner and we'll point you to a good one.
We quote a piano on its own, apart from a regular move — it needs special gear and an extra person or two, so it doesn't just fold into an hourly rate. What it costs really depends on the piano and the building: an upright on the ground floor is straightforward, a grand coming down two flights is a different job. Distance matters too. You'll get a firm price once we've seen what we're dealing with, and if it's part of a bigger move you'll see the piano as its own line. Get a free quote and we'll sort it out.
Yes. We take pianos from Calgary out to Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver, Toronto — pretty much anywhere in the country. It gets the same wrapping and padding as a local move. The one real difference is timing: the piano goes on the truck last and comes off first, so it's on the road the shortest time possible. Our long-distance service page has the details on specific routes.
Quite a bit goes into it. The whole piano gets wrapped in quilted blankets, and we tape the keyboard lid shut so it can't fall open mid-carry. On a grand, the legs, pedals, and music desk come off and get wrapped separately — those are the parts that snap if you rush. Then it rides strapped to a padded board and tied down against the truck wall, so it's not sliding around on the drive. We put runners on your floors and pad the door frames at both ends, and every move's covered by cargo insurance.
Yes, all the time. A lot of the older homes in Kensington, Hillhurst, and Inglewood have those narrow staircases that turn on the landing, and a grand isn't coming down one of those in one piece. So we take the legs, pedals, and lyre off, stand it on a padded board, and wrap it up before it moves an inch. From there it's slow — the crew working it down a step at a time. We always measure the doorways and that landing turn first, because halfway down the stairs is a bad place to find out it won't fit. Stairs do add to the price: more time, more hands.
Yes. Most downtown, Beltline, and Mission condos need a few things lined up ahead of time — a freight-elevator booking (usually about a week's notice), a certificate of insurance for the building, a damage deposit, and sometimes a street-use permit for the truck. We handle the paperwork and show up ready with elevator pads and floor protection. Here's the full condo checklist.
