Lourik (or Laurik), Kevin, Corbin, Brad and Mark came and rocked the move out of the park. Took great care of the items, as well as the floors/walls. We had some challenging items to move (eg. Elliptical) and they did a fantastic job with all of it. Based on the estimation of the move (time vs inventory), they came in well under as they were fantastically efficient. 10/10 would use again.

Two or three weeks is plenty from September through May. In summer, give us four to six — crews fill up fast once June hits. Whatever the season, try to dodge the first and last couple of days of the month; that's when half the city's leases turn over and everyone's moving at once. If it's a condo, the building's freight elevator is the real bottleneck — most need five or more business days' notice, so book around that. Yep — we move all winter, right through the -20 to -30 stretches. We swap in thermal blankets for electronics and anything the cold could hurt, put down extra floor protection so nobody's tracking slush through the house, and keep the truck buttoned up as much as we can between loads. Chinooks are the sneaky part: they can jump the temperature 20 degrees in an afternoon, and that brings condensation, so we keep an eye on the forecast and adjust. Winter's our quiet season too, so rates are lower and dates are easier to grab. The winter moving guide goes deeper.
A few things, and most of it is the building's rules rather than ours. Most Calgary high-rises want a freight elevator booked about five business days ahead, a certificate of insurance naming the condo corp, a refundable damage deposit (usually $200 to $500), and often a street-use permit for the truck at the curb. We handle the insurance, turn up with elevator pads and floor protection, and line the timing up with building management. The full condo checklist has every detail if you want to get ahead of it.
It comes down to home size, crew, drive time, and the season. Rough ranges: a studio around $550, a one-bedroom $750 to $1,100, a two-bedroom $1,000 to $1,400, a three-bedroom $1,200 to $1,800, and a four-bedroom $1,700 to $2,500 — crew, truck, gear, and basic coverage included. Summer runs higher than the off-season, with Stampede week the priciest of all, and a downtown condo costs a little more than a suburban house because of the elevator and parking. If your dates are flexible, October's usually the best value.
Depends on the size of the place. A studio or one-bedroom is usually two to four hours; a two-bedroom, four to six; a three- or four-bedroom house can run six to eight or more, especially with stairs or a long carry out to the truck. Condo moves downtown can stretch out waiting on the elevator, and Airdrie or Cochrane add half an hour each way. You'll get a time estimate with your quote so you can plan the day.
Basically anything where the pickup and drop-off are within about 50 km of each other — so all over Calgary, plus the towns around it like Airdrie (30 km north) and Cochrane (30 km west).
