Hearts of the City Series: Vancouver

At Two Small Men, we’re all about community engagement. We love to stay engaged with the communities where we live and operate, and we feel it’s our duty to give back and uplift those communities that have supported our Canadian moving company for over 30 years.

That’s why we’re introducing a new series called Hearts of the City – to highlight a few charitable organizations and the incredible work that they do for the most vulnerable members of our communities in cities where Two Small Men has a presence. We especially want to say thank you with a shoutout to the organizations we have partnerships with who we’ve loved working with over the years.

Hearts of the City

If you’re someone who currently lives in Vancouver, or if you’re thinking about moving to Vancouver in the future, we highly recommend showing support to these organizations!

So without further ado, let’s talk about some of the wonderful organizations in Vancouver!

Shelter Movers Vancouver

Our company has partnered with Shelter Movers Vancouver for years, and we love to support the meaningful purpose and values they have. Shelter Movers Vancouver arranges moving and storage services at no cost to women and children who are experiencing abuse. They find partners in the community to help make this transition to a violence-free home life happen for their clients. In their own words, “You found the courage to leave, we’ll find the hands to help.” What a powerful statement!

Richmond Food Bank Society

Another organization we’ve had the pleasure of working with on multiple occasions is the Richmond Food Bank Society. Food insecurity is at an all time high in Canada with the rise of COVID-19, and the hard work and care the folks at the RFBS put in to keep those in need of meals cannot be celebrated enough. If you’re located in the Vancouver area and looking to engage with your community, why not reach out and inquire about volunteer opportunities?

BC BURN FUND

They’ve said it better than we ever could: The BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund provides life saving, life supporting, and life enriching services to the almost 700 adults and children who are admitted to the Burn, Trauma and Plastics Units at Vancouver General Hospital and BC Children’s Hospital suffering serious trauma each year. Two Small Men is proud to be the official moving partner of the BC Burn Fund – we have so much respect for the passionate, crucial work they do for their community!
