About Coquitlam
Coquitlam is a city in BC’s Lower Mainland. It is the province’s sixth largest city with a population of 148 625 as of 2021. It enjoys a beautiful oceanic climate with mild temperatures, summers that are warm and dry, and winters that are cool and wet. Unlike other cities in the region, precipitation is particularly heavy in Coquitlam because of its proximity to mountain slopes. When westward air moves off the Pacific Ocean, the air flows up the Coast Mountains, causing it to cool and condense, then to fall as precipitation.
Coquitlam is one of many cities in British Columbia that is often the site of filming locations. Jumanji, parts of The Twilight Saga, Smallville, Supernatural, Arrow, Watchmen, and more are among the films and television series that have filming locations in Coquitlam.
